PERSEUS is a multimedia resource that provides an overview of the ancient Greek world. The database concentrates on five areas: a. Historical Overview -- historical essays on Ancient Greece organized by political and cultural eras b. Tools and References -- Greek encyclopedia and dictionary, bibliography for Greek texts and references, and word and subject search functions c. Art and archaeology -- descriptions and photographs of archeological sites, sculpture, coins and other art d. Atlas -- general and regional maps of Greece e. Primary texts -- complete works written by classic authors (i.e. Homer, Sophocles, Plutarch, etc.)
